Ca’ del Grano is a ‘widespread hotel’ situated in the historic village of Bardi in the Province of Parma. Being very passionate about this valley we call ‘home’, we were inspired to set up this new out-of-the ordinary hotel experience and share it with those looking for originality. Our intention was to bring back life into what was once a prominent part of Bardi.
The Main Ca’ del Grano House was once the town bakery, known then as ‘il forno di Furon’. In the Middle Ages, the Piazza del Grano (Wheat Square) was the marketplace that catered to all the needs of the Landi family who lived in and reigned from the Castle.
After extensive restoration and reconstruction to the buildings located around the Red Jasper Rock on which the Castle stands, we have come to the end of an enormous undertaking that went beyond our imagination! The architecture has now been restored to its former beauty, in-keeping with the Castle and we have renewed interest where it might have been lost forever. Our objective is to create an atmosphere evocative of our history and a new future for Bardi.
Cà del Grano, situated literally at the foot of the Castle, offers guests the chance to be part of our village life and truely savour the tranquility of the surroundings.
